The women in my family are sooooo fly. They’re the type of women who command respect and admiration. They walk around like they know something because they do! Growing up was going up to their closets every family party, watching them play dress up together. Annual summer trips to New York for Barney’s AND canal street. Watching them make jewelry, sew, cut the sleeves off fur jackets, because that’s how they wanted to style them. They’re real trend setters and I’ve watched and learned! By the age of 12 I could ID the make of a designer bag and spot a fake one (I remember doing this for the first time as a core bonding memory with my mum).
To understand how cool these women are, you have to hear them laugh together. The confidence and joy inside them radiate in the most beautiful ways. They really put that shit on because they love who they are. And they share this love so generously. All my life, I’ve watched them not only be fabulous but gather our family, keep us fed, and our hearts full. My mom, ninnags, aunties and lolas made me. They showed me how to be independent, decisive, and confident. Because of them, I love fashion and I love taking care of people. Working as a stylist and bringing chlos to life comes naturally, it feels familiar like letting everyone into this world I’ve grown up in.

I asked Loc to help me design my logo. We had a conversation on the balcony of his studio at the time. I told him the concepts I was thinking about, showed him the references, and told him what I liked about them. He sketched a bit, scanned the sketches and started working digitally. He was able to make something I love in just two sessions. These are the iterations he made before we reached the final design.
